THE PLAYER
Ryan Bruggeman is one of the top Division 2 basketball players to step on the court over the last decade. Overlooked by many of the scholarship-level programs in the Midwest, Ryan took a partial scholarship to play at Southwest Minnesota State University and left with his name plastered all over the record books. Ryan currently is the all-time leader in points scored, points scored in a single-season, total assists, assists in a single season and more.
While Ryan holds many of the top individual records at SMSU, his teams achieved success as well, leading the Mustangs to a Sweet 16 berth as a Sophomore and carrying the Mustangs to to the NSIC Championship game as a Senior. During Ryan's 4-game post-season run as a senior he scored 35, 38, 34 & 33 points to carry the Mustangs to a 2nd place finish in the NSIC.
Ryan currently plays professional basketball overseas.
THE TRAINER
Ryan is in his 2nd year with Catalyst, leading workouts around the metro area and assisting Reid Ouse with his high school and professional workouts.
Coaching runs in the Bruggeman family. Ryan's dad is a long-time coach in his hometown of Pelican Rapids, coaching both the boys and girls HS programs and being heavily involved in the youth program. Ryan's brother Casey is currently an assistant coach at the University of South Dakota.
Ryan is responsible for leading team workouts at East Ridge High School, and has worked with schools like Eagan, Mound Westonka, Hudson (WI), Rosemount and many more!
