About
Introduction to the Levels Program The Levels Program is a comprehensive road map designed to help coaches systematically develop their players and teams, taking them to the next level. With clear benchmarks and age-appropriate progressions, this program provides structure, focus, and measurable goals for player improvement. How It Works The program is divided into levels, each aligned with a specific age and skill group: • Level 1: 3rd Grade • Level 2: 4th Grade • Level 3: 5th & 6th Grades • Level 4: 7th & 8th Grades The objective is for players to master the skills and concepts within their current level by the end of the year, preparing them to advance to the next level. For example, a 3rd grader should be ready to graduate into Level 2 by the end of their season. Flexibility in Progression Player and team development is not one-size-fits-all. Some teams or individuals may progress faster or slower, and that’s completely okay. Progression may also vary across different skill categories. For example: • A player may advance to Level 2 in Ball Handling but remain in Level 1 in Finishing. • Teams may excel in one area while requiring more time in another. This variability is expected and encouraged. The program is designed to meet players where they are and provide a clear path forward. Your Role as a Coach As a coach, you’ll use this program to: • Evaluate your players’ current skill levels. • Set clear objectives for improvement. • Guide your team through focused drills and concepts designed for their level. • Celebrate progress, no matter the pace. By following this roadmap, you’ll not only help your players build the skills they need now but also lay the foundation for long-term success. Let’s get started with Levels 1–4, and watch your players and team grow in confidence, competence, and competitiveness!
