about
karenskids

Karen's Kids was created in honor of Karen Ouse, the mother of Reid Ouse and Catalyst Training's biggest fan. Karen was legally the mother of 7 children, but she played the role of "mom" to many more. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July of 2016 and 46 days later went to be with Jesus.

In 2014, the Ouse family sold their family farm in Rothsay, Minnesota and moved to Columbus, Ohio to begin mentoring men and women in the inner city. Karen was passionate about walking through life with people. Whether it was offering up a room in her home to someone in need, helping young mothers, or volunteering her time, Karen was always driven to help others.

our
mission

The mission of Karen's Kids is to have a positive impact on the youth of the inner city through the game of basketball by providing leadership training through free sports clinics, speaking engagements & non-profit partnerships

Karen had a large impact on the people that she crossed paths with. She left a lasting legacy of loving people selflessly, and it is our goal to continue that legacy.
