What Is The Levels Program?

And Why It's a Must Have!

For years, we’ve worked alongside volunteer youth coaches who are passionate about developing the next generation of players. These coaches play a critical role in shaping young athletes, but many face a significant challenge: they don’t have a formal background in coaching.

Most of these volunteers are in their 40s and haven’t spent much time around the game in over 20 years. While they understand the basics, they often feel lost when it comes to determining two crucial things:

1. What should players be able to do at specific age levels?

2. How do you effectively teach those skills?

That’s why we created The Levels Program—a comprehensive resource designed specifically for youth and high school coaches. It’s not just a guide for what players should be doing at each stage of their development; it’s also a step-by-step teaching tool.

Every skill breakdown in the program is crafted to be simple, accessible, and easy to follow—even for someone with little to no knowledge of the game. Our goal is to empower these volunteer coaches with the tools they need to confidently develop players at every age level, ensuring that young athletes get the guidance they deserve.

The Levels Program is more than just a resource—it’s a solution to a problem that has existed for far too long in youth basketball. We’re here to make coaching easier, more effective, and more impactful.

That’s why having a plan is so crucial—one that not only outlines what players should be able to do at each level but also gives coaches the tools to help them get there.
